How To Retrive Dudley Lock Combination

Wild Beasts Source

The director Duncan Jones (son of Bowie and Angie) back again with his second film, after nice debut last year with Moon on this occasion presents us with a risky bet, I say risky because the subject of time travel is something really useful and and trite, but still has convinced me and I had a good time seeing it, perhaps due to guapazo Jake Gyllenhaal and magic of the blue eyes of Vera Farmiga, or the unique beauty of Michelle Monaghan.

Influences

Obviously we all come to mind the movie "12 Monkeys" (1995), but I have also been other more recent "Deja Vu" (2006), where the issue is much more similar: the terrorist attack and rescue the girl. Beyond that and for true film buffs, we must not forget that memorable anti-war film "Y Johnny Got His Gun "(1971), this time not saying what scene of" Source Code "has reminded me to make no spoiler ...

I said: I liked it much, here is an interview with the director pulled from the web The Butaca.Net

JAKE GYLLENHAAL

After the good feelings left with his first film, "Moon", Duncan Jones faces the challenge of opening the film to a commercial audience and popping to "Source", sci-fi thriller that comes to our bulletin this Friday. The director has gone through Madrid with his main character, Jake Gyllenhaal, and we wanted to take the opportunity to spend some time with him. Young, the world all the time ahead is very clear what you are looking to their work. One advantage in Hollywood ...

What about the leap to a more commercial film and popping? Have you felt a great responsibility upon the expectations created by "Moon"?

Thanks for the expectations created! Although I think they were economically very large, because it is true that it did poor box office, but it was a smash hit. My feelings have always been very good, I wanted to make a film in Hollywood. I wanted to experience that kind of filmmaking, because it is very different independent films. I had from the beginning a lot of support in Jake was the one who found this script and contacted me. I've always been good company for him and for our editor, Paul Hirsch. So this shooting has been a mix between Hollywood and independent film, having more local control of the project.

There are many references in the film, but it is noteworthy how some passages are reminiscent of "La Jetée" and the remake of Terry Gilliam, "12 Monkeys."
I love
Gilliam, is an inspiration. Visually, the space in the story called The Pod, the place where Jake returns from mission to mission, reminiscent of "12 Monkeys." It is an environment that invites Gilliam. And I've seen "La Jetée", yes, but Terry never say he was his reference to "12 Monkeys", so I'm not going to do ...

That space is the most elaborate level design and production.

Yes, and then it is something that many people are not fixed. We can not say much because the English public has not seen yet, of course, but it is a changing that reflects your mood too. Very difficult to raise, introduce and roll. When the character learns more about his own situation, the more it changes its environment according to the information. Expands, expands, changes ... is fascinating.

Have you shot the film chronologically?

Within each shooting location, yes. We started inside the train, the narrative level was more complicated. We spent a week rehearsing to make sure everyone was clear what had to happen at the structural level in that scenario, so the actors were also more freedom to improvise. Prepare everything well has been instrumental in securing the chemistry between Jake and Michelle Monaghan.

not abuse your movies in digital effects. Looking for projects that allow you to work well?

Well, I can not say what they do in the future, but yes, I think a film has to stand on their characters, and I believe it is essential that the audience can empathize with them. I have no problem in investing a hundred million dollars a movie, whenever I get that. But still I have not received the script.

Among the large cast that is "source code" I was particularly struck by the role of Michael Arden.

was an interesting case. The casting process has been much like Hollywood, I've seen lots of DVDs of people reading the same paper, and they me in Montreal in Los Angeles. I was looking for something very specific. He had seen a documentary called "The Boy Scout nuclear", I recommend a lot. This is a boy of fifteen who builds a radioactive device in the backyard of the house of his mother. When the government finds out and asks him why he has done, he replied: "Because I can." There was no sense of responsibility. And the scariest is that when you see the documentary realize that you do not have it. Is the character I was looking for.

is in prison ...

No, certainly not! It is very strange. Anyway, the point is that when I saw Michael Arden, I realized that he himself had given the key of the character. He came to Montreal, we speak of the documentary, what I needed, and caught it beautifully.

And Vera Farmiga also has a more complicated than it may seem.

The truth is that I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with these actors. Vera is amazing, you know exactly where is the camera, where you have to place within the frame. We talk a lot about how your character will slowly developing a sort of maternal instinct, is the only contact they have Jake in history. It is a very challenging role, with the camera on the face, in a very intrusive. An actor should not look at the camera, but in this case, Vera has to, look at the camera directly and does not seem like it ... is very, very complicated. The public will be surprised with the apparent authenticity.

DUNCAN JONES & JAKE GYLLENHAAL

you going to follow by the way of science fiction?
planned
I have very long the way I go, I want to do. "Moon" was a step in that direction, "source code" another one, and my third film, which will also be gender, will be the third step, I hope. The ultimate goal is to make the movie I want with the budget I want. Let's see if I get it!
