In one of the sites I usually visit new music I've come across a video entitled "Albatross", initially did not even intend to see it because the selected image showing two women (yuck) a kind of raised the hair grooming lady, but still I got curious and looked less evil that a man sings, and then I was captivated by the peculiarity of her voice, it seems that the singer has a voice of countertenor . So I started investigating and learned that the song "Albatross" is the single presentation of what will be their third album, and as I said before: I do not know anything about them, so I immediately got off his previous albums and I confirm that in fact, are big, glossy POP exert an elegant and even dance, here are some notes about the band:
Originally from Kendal, UK, in 2002 two students from Queen Katherine School called Hayden Thorpe and Ben Little, formed the duo Fauve, the French term meaning "wild animals" (Wild Beasts). In January 2004 they were joined drummer Chris Talbot and changed the name in French for Wild Beasts, recording an EP in June of that year. In 2005 they were joined by bassist Tom Fleming, with whom he recorded two new eps: "Esprit De Corps" and "All Men". In November 2006 they get the great song "Brave Bulging Buoyant Clairvoyants", with the falsetto voice of Hayden. In 2007 the label signed to Domino Records and pull out the single "Through Dark Night" but with the label Bad Sneakers. The debut album arrives in June 2008 under the title "Limbo Panto" described by critics as stunning, funny and irrevocable, the single "The Devil's Crayon" followed in June of that year. August 3 of 2009 comes the second album, entitled "Two Dancers", widely hailed as bold, captivating and worthy of all possible superlatives. This brings us to 2011 where as I said, the band announces third studio album titled "Smother" for the May 9, with the wonderful first single from "Albatross", here he is:
