2011 champion Rosberg

Dear all / os / is

Those of you who have followed me throughout the 2010 season know that I have certain haunts or hobbies. One of them is the numbers and graphics, use graphics to to wish the good morning. Another of my tendencies are predicting the next champion, albeit with no success, although I and I, with no purpose of amendment.

input today is my first prediction for 2011. I usually always based on different numbers reflect the past, distant or very close, but due to the height of the season in which we are (starting to roll for the first time, in Cheste), no number, no hint of scientific data to guess who might be the champion does not matter! Who needs something to draw on to say a silly? In the best journalistic style, reality will not let me spoil a good entry. And without further ado I give my first champion 2011. This will be the Germano-Finnish Eric Nicolas Rosberg.

In the 1981 season as five drivers were on the verge of World Champion, winning with Brabham Piquet senior championship in a hard struggle with other great moment as Reutemann (Williams), Jones (Williams), Laffite (Ligier) and Prost (Renault). While a pilot called Keijo Erik got lots of pretty twenty-seventh place with zero points, driving a Fittipaldi-Ford.

Rosberg only victory in 1982 (Dijon-Prenois, Switzerland)
next year, Rosberg senior was recruited by Williams to replace the legendary Jones, but had less lift on the team mate Derek Dally, another terrible driver but with commendable courage and life history (you can read some of it on the blog friend José Arce ), and gave him the number two team, the six. In front of the defending champions Brabham was Gordon Murray (active engineer with great wit, the teacher Chapman died the same year). In the Ferrari was the god called Villeneuve and Pironi second fiddle, with two pairs of ... noses that would not be forward or god, or when Don Enzo ring to impose the order desired (Should not someone read the history of F1?). The Renaults of Prost and Anoux (intimate enemies) assembled the most developed turbo grill. All these documents were thinking that the title should be either for Brabham Piquet who still had access to either Ferrari or Renault as the last candidate. These three teams mounted turbo-powered engines that gave them enough leverage against atmospheric McLaren, with Lauda and John Marshall Watson, and Williams.

Although the championship was written that had to be for Villeneuve, his mate down with him to surpass their own limits, and could be in the bottom of the spectacular accident that was Gilles at Zolder, with which we were a great driver and we have a legend, putting his Ferrari into a depression that cost exit. The fratricidal struggles about McLaren and Renault, together with the Brabham car disaster, made a very mediocre pilot was proclaimed champion, with only one win in the tournament (Pironi, Watson, Lauda and had more victories Anoux him).

For lo! we are in 2011. In season last up to five riders were able to win the championship with the end result we all already know, as in 81. This year, several new regulations make the natural evolution of the designs of the cars last year is not obvious, and they have to find new unexplored solutions. The tires are brand new, the kers reappears in our vocabulary, mobile rear spoiler back to life, weight gain and its distribution allowed by law equal. In addition, we lose our beloved F-duct and double diffuser. All this means that almost all teams start from zero, or almost.

Who is the better team read the rules? I think not reinvent the wheel by saying that Brawn is an engineer with more ingenuity in discovering the shortcomings inherent in all new regulations, and is able to take advantage of it, as it has amply demonstrated in the Benetton, Ferrari and Brawn. Then I have my first forecast team, will win a Mercedes. I'm listening to the applause of all believe that Schumacher will win his idol. But no, sorry, and in 2010, Rosberg junior sangredehorchata demonstrated that it is faster and has more ambition than record holder. The only thing that Michael has shown is that it remains the favorite of his team, so again have given him the odd number, booking the pair (eight) for the Germano-Finnish. But he, Germany and Finnish, like his father, the penalty quietly and without much merit, showing perseverance and poise on the right team can be a route to the championship, for those who are not great teachers.
